The OnTrack Mobile App
OnTrack is designed to be private by default. The App never connects to your bank, and it never asks for bank credentials. Your quiz answers, financial profile, plan progress, and streaks are stored on your device and are not transmitted to us, with the specific exceptions described below.
Information You Choose to Provide
If you enter your email address in the App, we collect your email and first name to send you the email updates you requested. We use Kit (ConvertKit) as our email service provider for this purpose. Providing an email is optional, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Anonymous Identifier and Usage Data
The App generates a random, anonymous identifier that is not derived from your name, email, or device. We use it to count feature usage (such as app opens, screens viewed, and buttons tapped) so we can improve the App. These usage events are not linked to your name or email.
Financial Figures You Enter
If you use features like the Rate Watchdog or Bill Scanner, the rates and bill amounts you type (for example, your savings APY or monthly premium) are sent to our server, associated only with your anonymous identifier, so we can compare them against market rates and send you the alerts you enabled. We never receive account numbers, balances from a bank, or bank credentials, because the App never connects to financial accounts.
Bill Photos (AI Bill Scan)
If you use AI Bill Scan, the photo you choose is transmitted securely to our server and passed to Anthropic, our AI processing provider, to read the bill and identify potential savings. Photos are processed transiently and are not stored by us after the scan completes. We retain only anonymized, aggregate information about bill types and amounts (never the image, never your name) to improve our benchmarks.
Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, we collect your device's push token so we can deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in the App or in iOS Settings, and we stop sending them.
Purchases
Subscriptions to OnTrack Premium are processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, associated with the App's anonymous identifier. If you have provided your email, we may record that you are a Premium subscriber so that we stop sending you upgrade emails.
Service Providers
The App relies on the following providers to function: Apple (payments and app distribution), Cloudflare (server infrastructure), Kit (email), RevenueCat (subscription management), Anthropic (AI bill analysis), and Expo (push notification delivery). Each receives only the data needed to perform its function.
What We Never Do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with data brokers. We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and the App contains no third-party ad networks or cross-app tracking.
Deleting Your Data
You can erase everything stored on your device at any time via Profile → Reset All Data in the App. To request deletion of any server-side data (such as your email or watchdog settings), contact us at support@ianbuildswealth.com and we will delete it.
